“In Plain Sight” is a story about Mary Shannon, a Federal Marshal working under the Witness Protection Program who must keep highly dangerous job a secret from her family. Those outside her job believe that she is a highly paid meter maid.  But as a secret Federal Marshall, her job will entail her to oversee the relocation of federal witness and to ensure that they will remain safe in their new identities and surroundings.

The show is produced by Universal Media Studios for USA Network and premiered last June 1, 2008. It stars Mary McCormack in the lead role. Other cast includes Lesley Warren as Jinx, Paul Ben-Victor as Stan McQueen, Nicole Hiltz as Brandi Shannon, Todd Williams as Bobby Dershowitz, Cristian de la Fuente as Raphael Ramirez and Frederick Weller as Marshall Mann.

“In Plain Sight” seems at first a serious drama show. But it is not. It has an original and innovative story not to mention funny and exciting. Every episode deals with different witnesses who need to change their identities and relocated to somewhere safe. The viewer will hear Mary Shannon’s voice overs explaining things that will make the viewer understand the plot more like what needs to be done for witness protection, etc. done with humor and intelligence. The viewer will get hook the beautiful, assertive, wont take no crap Mary as well as to the other characters. There is her partner, Special Agent Marshall who is also interesting and has personality that complements that of Mary. There is Stan, their nerdy whacky boss. There is also the cop who seems to hate her. Of course, there is also her drunk, can’t keep a job mother who lives with her and her troublesome  sister who comes for a visit every now and then. These characters together with the witness mesh beautifully together to form a interesting episode week after week.

“In Plain Sight” may not be available in your local channels  or you haven’t been able to watch the premier telecast. But no matter what, there are a lot of sites in the Internet where you can download TV shows, movies and music files. In Plain Sight 5.8 “All’s Well That Ends” Review

The last and final season has been a joyride for everyone who has seen the story developing in the past five seasons, and the last episode too wasn’t an exception. The finale has been able to capture the imagination of the viewer, and has had the success, which no other season of the show had garnered.

The five season long series has seen Mary grow up as a strong individual with her flaws. She has been able to live up to the expectations of the audience in every respect; hence, seeing her character develop further in this episode is a real joy.

The episode starts off with Abigail waiting for her fiancé to plan her wedding, while Marshall is with Mary, planning her father’s funeral. The two extremes bring out the tension that is there between Marshall and Abigail with respect to his association with Mary. Abigail asks Marshall to stop giving excuses that Mary is only his partner. Though, Marshall and Mary have been sharing a very close bond, but it still didn’t seem right. Both of them had feelings for each other; but, we guess it is fine that he ended up with Abigail. It is very romantic to see Marshall telling Mary that he loves her, but still, it just makes them more and more unhappy. It is true that they are best friends and partners, but love seems to be a different forte all together. The more they delve into the subject, more dejected they will feel. It is very touching to see how committed Marshall is for his best friend, but it is a pity that they can never lead a life together.

It was high time we got to see Brandi, and guess what she turns up in this episode; we have been missing her for a long time. It is just that when both the Shannon’s are on-screen, looking away from it seems difficult. The family, as we have seen over the years has come above the petty differences they had between them, and are bonding up nicely. We see Mary and Brandi going the right way, not letting any differences come in the way of their relationship.

The story was wrapped up with the same craftsmanship that was used to begin it. Mary decides to use all the money she inherited from her father for his grandchildren. Stan has been promoted as the Deputy Director of WITSEC, and Marshall has become Mary’s boss. It is a very sad thing that the story ends here, while we would have liked to see it carry on and on. The only thing Mary has to do now is to find her a man, who will take care of her. With tears, Adieu “In Plain Sight.”
